Kaylenne “Kay” Brown has been a dancer/choreographer fitness enthusiast and veggie lover over 15 years. She has always had a passion for helping others be the best version of themselves and ensuring they stay healthy!  Aside from being a personal trainer and nutrition coach, Kay is an avid lover of hip hop.  She busts moves with the best of them.  As a dance teacher, she specializes in teaching the fundamentals of the hip hop elements but shares her talents in all genres. Kay is a Marine Corps Veteran after 12 years of faithful and honorable service. Before joining the Marine Corps in October 2002, she started her dance and fitness career in 1999/2000 with Eastern Cheer and Dance Association as a professional cheer/dance instructor, competition judge, and a 2001 Citrus Bowl Half-time show performer with the Spirit of AmericaTM. She went on to pursue an education in dance at Old Dominion University where she obtained her BA in Dance Theater.

Kay has performed and planned many dance and fitness events supporting various charities and youth programs in several states. She has also choreographed and staged several artistic performances in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. Known for her lively spirit and personality Kay’s goal is to share her love and passion for dance in the local community paired with “making the world better…one healthy body at a time!”

Kay has hosted several dance/fitness events for the City of Norfolk; Hardee’s Latin Festival in Virginia Beach; Hampton University; Christopher Newport University; Old Dominion University; The Up Center, as well as children’s dance and fitness classes at surrounding Hampton Roads local elementary, middle, and high schools. She has also organized dance fitness classes and constructed mini combat fitness obstacle courses (honing in on her military attributes) for the 5th and 6th annual PHAT “Promoting Healthy Active Teens” Conference in Norfolk, VA. Kay has hopes and aspirations to take Sweat N Swag global in teaching the history of hip hop as well as the technique behind the dance.
